Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT) is a collective term for all anti-cancer drug treatments such as chemotherapy and immunotherapy.

NHS Ayrshire & Arran provides Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT) for breast, colorectal, lung, urology and haemato-oncology cancers. All other cancer types are currently provided in Glasgow at the West of Scotland Regional Cancer Centre – the Beatson Oncology Centre.

This consultation was about changes and proposals to how we deliver our SACT service for the local population in Ayrshire and Arran.

The consultation ran from Monday 13th February to Friday 19th May 2023. Here is a snapshot of engagement activity that took place:
